Georgia Aquarium

Last Wednesday Papa and Nana took the boys and I to the Georgia Aquarium for the day.  It was AMAZING!!!!  I highly recommend it to anyone, young or old.  Here are some pics from the day.
Posing on a sea dragon on the way into the cafeteria

After lunch, our first stop was one of our best, a HUGE salt water tank full of countless types of fish.  It was awesome!!!!!  Clearly the boys loved it too!

One of the ginormous rays in that tank.  The window we're looking in from is floor to ceiling so that gives you an idea of how big it was.  The ray is WAY above my head

A couple whale sharks

Max and Papa having a blast

I love how excited he looks in this picture.  It captures his overall mood for the day.  He loved EVERYTHING and yelled and screaled with excitment most of the day.

Kaelan was a great big brother and wonderful example for little Max.  He had a fabulous day!!

Kaelan went down a huge whale slide (like he was sliding through the whale's mouth).  Max is not a fan of tube slides so he just played on the outside of it instead

One boy was less hesitant to touch things than the other...guess which.  :)  They had multiple tanks where you could touch a variety of sea life, from rays to shrimp to sea urchins and sea stars (and more).

Spider crabs, very interesting and very large!

Beautiful beluga whales

It was one of the best days and everyone had a fabulous time.  After no nap for Max, he was asleep in the car by the time we left the parking garage.  One of the absolute best parts of the day, if not the best, was the dolphin show.  It was not your typical show where the trainers simply display the dolphins' "tricks" as normal dolphin behaviors.  Instead, it was a true production with of a wonderful story-line, music, spraying fountains, actors, lights, and of course the stars of the show, the dolphins.  It was better than words can say and definitely better than any dolphin show I'd ever seen (including at Sea World).  We can't wait to go back and take Daddy this time.  ;)
