Big Brother & Little Brother

Kaelan LOVES holding his big brother. He's always saying, "I wanna hold him," and touching him all the time. I wanted to post some pics of the two new brothers. Of course we're so happy that K is enjoying his little brother (most of the time), but as you'll see, Maddox is often less than thrilled. They truly look so much alike and I look forward to seeing how they compare as Maddox gets older.

More baby pics and the Zoo

Although little Maddox doesn't do much, I wanted to post a few pictures of our sweet boy just layin' around. I also included a couple from the zoo in Columbia where we went with my parents the day before they had to leave. It was a gorgeous day and we all had a GREAT time. It was our first daytrip post-Maddox and it was a huge success. The best part about it was watching Kaelan enjoy himself. He was such a big boy walking around the zoo with us instead of having to be in a stroller. He stayed right with us the whole time. He even got to feed a giraffe. (I forgot to download the pics from my dad's camera so I don't have the picture of that unfortunately). Enjoy!

Kaelan wanted to remember what it was like to sit in his bouncy seat from when he was a baby...his favorite! He has graciously loaned it to his baby brother for now but still uses it on occassion to lounge in. ;)

Is there anything cuter?!

I LOVE this outfit and had to include a shot that shows the whole thing. Nana's best friend, Sherry, sent this to him and it fits him PERFECTLY, complete with a monkey on the bottom of the pants. SO cute!!!!

"Hello, my name is Maddox Fulmer. You'd better take the picture quickly. I'll only be awake for the next 2.7 minutes."

Sleepin' on Daddy

Snugglin' with Grandma. She totally hated it of course. ;)

Sweet boy

Cheese!

His "cheese" doesn't last long and it's very hard to get it back, at least on anyone else's terms.

"What, you don't think my muscles are really that big?"

Riding the carousel with Grandma. After the 2nd trip, he was ready to fall asleep.

There's a smile with Mommy...finally!

Cuddled up in my favorite nap spot, my bouncy seat.

Sportin' Mommy's school

He looked like such a little man and I had to take his picture. Luckily he cooperated with a pose and smile.

One of our only pictures together. Had to take it myself, but at least we have it.
His 1st bathtub experience. He loved being in the warm water and is happy to be done with the sponge baths.

"Take my picture," he says after putting his underwear on his head.

Welcome Maddox

We are thrilled to welcome our newest member of the family...Charles Maddox Fulmer was born shortly after 2:30 on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. He weighed in at 8 lbs 2 oz and measured 20 1/4 inches long. The c-section was completely different this time around having not labored and being quite aware of my surroundings, however we had a wonderful experience in the hospital and went home a day early. My recovery was quick and even easier after this pregnancy for which I am incredibly grateful. We were also lucky enough to have family here with us for almost 3 straight weeks, helping us with cooking, cleaning, and of course spoiling the kids rotten. Seriously, Kaelan got more presents for becoming a big brother than Christmas and his birthday combined I think. Speaking of our newly named big brother, he has adjusted quite well to his new role. He enjoys holding him and hugging him, although he's still learning that hugging does not require squeezing as tightly as you can. We're enjoying being a family of four and can't wait to watch our two boys grow together. I'm only posting pictures from the hospital right now because there are so many. I promise to do another posting with more recent pictures ASAP. Hope everyone is doing well. We can't wait to introduce you to Maddox!

Waiting in our triage room. We had to arrive at the hospital at noon, 2 hours early so they could monitor the baby and get me all prepared. I was VERY ready to get it over with since I hadn't eaten since 10 the night before.

All dressed up and ready to go.

My doctor, Dr. Benson, came to see us just before we left for the operating room. He is an amazing doctor and an incredibly nice man. We were lucky to have him as our surgeon!

"Why did you take me out???!!!! Stop bothering me!!!!!!"

Almost smiling now that no one's poking at him.

Hating his first bath.

All clean

Sleeping peacefully

"Get that sun out of my face already. Can a baby get some sleep around here?"

My boys

Holding his baby brother for the first time. He calls him "My Maddox."

Kaelan liked watching tv in bed with Mommy. He was such a good boy!
