Christmas Festivities

Mike had some left-over vacation time this year which gave us the opportunity to go "home" to Indy for Christmas.  Of course Grandma and Grandpa were thrilled and I was so happy to have the chance to spend Christmas in my old house and see good friends as well.  This post is dedicated only to our Christmas celebrations (of which we had 3).
First, the annual Fulmer Family Christmas in Atlanta.
Mike's cousin Susan hosted this year in their GORGEOUS home in a northeast suburb of Atlanta. One of the activities this year was a game of "dirty Santa".  When it was Mike's turn, he decided to steal this hat (along with the accompanying taco night goodies).

I had Kaelan go choose the gift when my number was called.  He's wondering if he chose a good one.  Luckily for me, it was fabulous - a huge gift bucket of MooseMunch, which I've always wanted to try...yum!

Aunt Michelle (Mike's sister) trying out the hat and striking a pose with K

His turn

Next it was time for the kids to open their gifts.  "Melmo!!!"

Now he can play super-heros with Bubby - his own Hulk vehicle
Next up, Christmas with Papa & Nan
Sporting the new Christmas outfit Papa got him - SO handsome!!!

Opening his Leap Pad (to him it's his iPad) from Papa & Nana

"Whoa!!!!"

Playing with his new "garage" from Papa & Nana
Delivering presents

He loved putting the bows on himself this year.  I guess he thought he was the true gift.  ;)

"Ahhh, a nice new seat for me."

A much better option

Opening some new clothes that Papa picked out

Posing with his new easel...he LOVES art!

Striking a pose in one of the new outfits from Papa
Finally, Christmas morning in Indy
Just found that the cookies he left for Santa had been eaten

The castle he got from Santa

"Ooooo!"

Riding his new alphabet choo-choo

An Elmo phone

"He-wo"

Grandma opening her gift from Maddox he made

"Whoa!" - His new Mickey Pirates of the Carribean pirate ship from Grandma & Grandpa

"Look Max, you got a pirate ship too!" from Grandma & Grandpa

Grandpa and K playing with his new pirate ship

"Aaarrrrrggghhh!"

Captain Jack is now complete!

Playing with Bubby's castle

One of the cutest parts of the day.  During a quiet moment (there were literally only a few quiet moments), we looked over to find Max had climbed up in Grandpa's chair to read himself a Christmas story.

Trying on Bubby's new "hat" (of course while he wasn't around to see).

Blowing out the candles on Jesus' birthday cake - a tradition I wanted to continue from when I was young.

Again, bow on his head

Playing nicely together (short-lived of course).  :)
