One thing we're watching is the fact that he REALLY favors looking to his right and always sleeps with his head tilted that direction. Because of this, his skull is actually moving a tiny bit which makes his forehead a little off balance and one of his ears higher than the other. Some of you may remember how flat Kaelan's head used to be in the back from laying flat all the time. This is similar but not as easy to fix unfortunately. Kaelan was swaddled at night which made it easy to prop him on his side a bit to round out his head. Max, however, does NOT like to be swaddled and sleeps with his hands in the air. If we try to prop him his arm is in his poor little face which obviously does not lend to good sleep. :) So, the Dr. gave us some neck exercises to try and we have to try to prop him as much as we can during awake time as well. We're also trying to increase his tummy time to 10 minutes 3-5 times a day. This is difficult to achieve considering he's still not awake for too terribly long at any given time, but we'll get there eventually.
My parents were here for a visit over Mother's Day weekend. Luckily, my brother was able to make it up from Florida as well. We had a great time. Here are some pictures...
Check out our future major leaguer! He's actually better at hitting the ball out of the air than making good contact off the tee. We can't wait to start him in sports but it appears that down here, they don't start kids until 5, even in soccer. Oh well, patience, patience.
Jess - love all the pictures but the one of you and Maddox looks it great. Looks like a professional took it. Thanks for the nice update!
